Perchloric acid on LC/MS/MS

What is the limitations of injection samples prepared by precipetation of plasma using perchloric acid on the LC/MS/MS.

Essentially nothing, unless you consider injecting milliliter volumes. The small volume of a typical injection does not cause any problems. The perchloric acid will run through the column unretained. You may want to divert the unretained peak to waste, instead of into the MS. Not so much because of the perchloric acid, but because of the massive amount of plasma components that you inject into the system and that run through more or less unretained.
