Hi!

I know it sounds strange, but I need to know the weight of a HPLC column. Can you give me an idea?! It is a Bonded phase, standard analytical column ODS (4.6 x 250mm).

If you can guess an average weight for any HPLC column will be great already!

Tanks,

It will vary somewhat as not all end fittings are created equal.

I've weighed what appears to be the most svelte and hefty columns on my bench...
100.46g
87.83g

Both were weighed w/ end caps in (so you may deduct ~1g for those if you wish). Both were made with all stainless jackets & fittings. Plastic jacketed columns may be lighter.

Why ?????
Hi Peter,

I need to pay for the freight of some columns, and I never saw one before...So I need to know the weight in order to calculate how much I'm going to pay for the mailing...

cheers!

Then you should double or triple that weight--most of the shipping weight is the protective packaging!
