Sensitivity of SPME and purge and trap for volatiles

Dear all,
We here at National Institute of Oceanography India wants to by a new GC with ECD for mesurement of volatiles. Typically we expect the concentration below ug/L. I dont knoe if SPME will be useful technique for low concentration as these.
Since i am new to both the techniques please guide me for which one i should go.
