Overlapped Injections on Agilent 1200 HPLC

Hi, I have a question that appears to be nearly identical to one posted in January by Kyle. There weren't any answers to it, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try again....

I'm running an Agilent 1200 LC, and it has the nifty feature of allowing overlapped injections - the autosampler goes and grabs the sample before your first injection is finished and positions the needle over the port, so that as soon as the first run is done, it injects the sample immediately and winds up saving maybe a half-minute or so per injection....which is awfully nice for high throughput applications.

Unfortunately, we're using a PAL autosampler instead of the Agilent autosampler, so this may complicate things a bit.

From the injector icon, there is an option to "set up injector." In the dialog box, there is the option to "enable overlapped injection," which I have checked (and then saved the method and even rebooted everything when that didn't work). I'm guessing that maybe I need to edit the PAL cycle somewhere, but even using Cycle Composer or Cycle Editor, there really isn't any obvious "atom" or function to insert in the injection cycle. Does anyone know what I can do to get the overlapped injection function working (other than buying the agilent autosampler). According to Kyle, it IS possible to get it working, it's just not very obvious what needs to be done. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
