Varian 3400 integration--printer plotter

Hi.

Not sure if this is the correct subforum for this, but we have an old Varian 3400 with an internal integration system and a built in thermal paper printer/plotter. We have recently been informed that certain parts for this are no longer supported. Speciflically something called a printer pivot bar. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where we might find parts?

LabX?

Or a third party co?

Thanks!

Doing computer service for some 20 years I never had to change a 'printer pivot bar'.

Generally thermal printer systems don't need much maintenance and so I wouldn't worry too much.

If you really want that part as a spare, please send me a PM for the address of a very experienced Varian technician who has an ample supply of all kinds of Varian parts.

Just as a side note: Why don't you use a modern PC-based data system?

Most 3400 GC's did not have the built in integrator. Spare parts therefore may be few and far between.
