				Hi,
Does anyone know a free software that can calculate the solvent needed for a gradient in HPLC?
Thank you!
GB.

				Use Excel.
If you're doing a linear gradient between 2 different %B, for exaample, multiply the average %B at the start/end of the gradient step times the total flow rate to get the mL B for that step.
Repeat for A.
Repeat all of the above for however many steps you have.
Sum that mess for ea. A & B to get a total mL of ea. per injection.
Multiply ea. sum by the number of injections to get totals (remember to include however long your autosampler turn-around time is as an addition to your initial conditions) for mL A, B for your run (then make a little extra).

You can write a spreadsheet to do it. If it has to be free, get Open Office.
