Giving Away Finnigan 700 GC-MS

We have a Finnigan GC-MS (TSQ-70/700, 1987 model, updated several times) with a lots of spare parts with two UNIX workstations which is in working order. Also included is another system for spare parts and the remains (boards, misc spare parts) of a third system. Also included are several extra mechanical pumps and I think a spare turbo.

Someone would have to come to our site (Eastman Chemical Company) in Kingsport TN and retrieve the instrument.

Let me know if you are interested in the instrument. It was in working order when we shut it down a few months ago.

I don't know much about this GC-MS system... Is it a single quad system? Come with the software? How did the sensitivity look when last used?

Thanks,
Aaron

TSQ is a triple stage quadrupole instrument. Sensitivity probably 200 pg on column for most compounds. Was running when I shut it down 4 months ago. Software, pumps, bunches of spare parts. Just old (1987 vintage with some updates)...

Hello !

Anyone have a experience on the use of Perkin Elmer GCMS Clarus 600 S system ?

It's performance and maintenance ??

Is Turbo pump or diffusion pump more easy on maintenance (Clean) ? And lower in maintenance cost ?

Thanks !
