I am new in the hole technique ECD and i have the following problem. My total current went high up to 99 wich resaulted in no signal. After cleaning i thought it would be better. It was for just a second. Then it started leaking, but the current decreased. To stop the leak i turned the nop a little bit more and the currend went up again. I don't know what to do and i can't find any information on the web. The ECD componay provides almost non information.........

I hope someone can help me here on the forum?

Thanks a lot

To try and troubleshoot your issue I would require more information. This ECD, waht model is it? What company maufactures it? From your statement I assume you are in conductivity mode...What is your total system? What are you anayzing? What is the total pressure of your system? (Eluent, eluent concentration, flow rate, column(s), background conductivity, etc...)

What are the components of the system. Who is the manufacturer. If you have a leak in your ECD that has to be addressed/repaired.

Need more information.

thanx for replying me. I found the solution. The spacer was not good wich caused the buffer to form cristals. After that the golden electrode was pushed to far ( to stop the leaking) so it contacted the celbody. The total current measurement was disturbed by the cel. Thanx anyway!
