Clindamycin quantification

Hello

I'm working on a formaulation of clindamycin in gelatine particles. I've tried to create a method for separation and quantification of the liberated clindamycin on a capillary electrophoresis system. So far I have problems with gaining suitable electropherogram
What is the problem? The baseline is high, I'm getting very wide big peaks, although the concentration of clindamycin is suitable for the CE system. The current is high cca 200 micro ampers.
The analysis of clindamycin contains mixture of acetone and water as solvent and maybe little bit of gelatina. Is the gelatina possible problem maker for this type of separation.
And could you propose me a method for determination and quantification of clindamycin by CE or other separative technique (HPLC for example)
Thanks

Best regards,
Zoran

In case the above link doesn't work for you. It's in The US Pharmacopeia, as Clindamycin Phosphate gel.

simply put;-
Mobile phase=10.54g KH2PO4 in 775ml water to pH 2.5 with H3PO4.
Add 225 ml Acetonitrile mix, filter. Use as mobile phase at 1ml/min, and also to dissolve sample at 0.2mg clindamycin/ml. Inject 20ul onto a 250 x 4.6 3 - 10 um C8 column with detection at 210nm.

Get the USP monograph for all the resolution criteria etc.
