Hi all,
Anybody have standard methods for the analysis of VOC s( Chloroform, Bromoform etc) from drinking water by using Head Space accessory with GC (ECD) ?
What are the avilable standards?

Please help.

Thanks

I am not an expert on this but I thought I would suggest at least one article on the subject; "Headspace analysis of some typical organic pollutants in drinking water using differential detectors: effects of columns and operational parameters" Mehran, M.F., Golkar, N., Cooper, W.J., Vickers, A.K., Jrnl of Chrom. Science, V34, March 1996, P. 122. Talks about the use of headspace with ELCD, PID and ECD with headspace sampling.

Good luck, hopy you get more responses.
Standards for method series 501.1, 502.2 are available from Supelco.

Just check their web site or their catalog (2005) p.679
