Hi

Has anyone of you still worked with a continuous liquid/liquid extraction apparatus?

I'm thinking of using this system for the extraction of TPH (hydrocarbons), PCBs, HAP... in water, in order to replace traditional methods, but I have no references at all of the system's performances (time and solvent consuming, yield of extractions, reproductibility...)

Can anyone tell me about his/her experience with this system, please?

Thank you in advance

Carmen

Do you rinse the sample containers with Methylene Chloride into the sep funnels? Just wondering?
The sample is injected onto a wide bore nonpolar short column. Just measuring total area?
Curious.
