Is it possible to tag or put some sort of tickler on someone else's post so you get email alerts when there are responses to it?

Just post a (short) reply in it, and tick the "Always notify me of replies:
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post." option in your profile?
But if you don't want to post in the thread...I dunno?

no need to reply to be in it i think. Bottom left of the message thread is the link "Watch this topic for replies" click on this and when the next person makes a contribution to the message thread, regardless of who they are, you will be sent an email informing you more threads have been posted.
I think that's right, Tom "the Oracle" Jupille may be able to confirm this.

Nope, it's been there all along. The Forum is pretty much "stock" phpBB software. I'm not a programmer, so I've kept the modifications to a minimum (unlike my approach to chromatography, which tends to be "if it ain't broke, fix it until it is").Heh, I wonder if he just added that to the bb settings?
