The "what field are you in?"topic inspired me to start this topic. Does your screen name have an interesting story? Mine refers to my fishing hobby. Since I got my boat a few years ago there has only been one time that I failed to catch at least one fish. Notice that I didn't tell how big the fish was. Now I've probably jinxed myself

Mine is a bit obvious to be interesting, although I did work with someone a long time ago who had the surname Guy and his intials were GC. He was a complete fool so my screen name is definately not in his honour.

GOM is grumpy old man

At one point in my chemistry career, I had a supervisor who was a real condescending jerk to me and made me feel insignificant. I took the screen name chemwipe because that's about what I felt like at the time.

Wouldn't mind changing it now though.

My screen name turned up shortly after a course in "Using High Explosives" at the Danish National Gaurd. I had to enter a username somewhere that was at least 8 characters long and my old screen name was only 7.. :( After fighting to find one I could remember and was available I came up with Leadazide.. as it is the primary explosiv in the detonator-caps I had been using at the course.

Since I have only used leadazide an so far I haven't had any problems with anybody else having the same ID.
Kind regards
Leadazide
