Hi
I've been using this column: Prevail Carbohydrate ES, for carbohydrate sep + ELSD detection. My problem is that neither the brand nor the company that made it exist (or commercialize it) anymore
The chemistry details for this column are a bit obscure to me, so I am searching for, preferably, an exact existent match or a close equivalent.
Any ideas, please?

Ass near as I can tell, that's an amino bonded phase column, but the identity of the underlying support is undetermined. You might check with HiChrom, since they more or less took over what was left of the Grace-Alltech column business. The ES column shows on their web site as "please contact us for details", but their tech support is good and they should be able to at least suggest an alternative:

Normally, the first place I would check is the column selectivity database, but that column was never widely enough used to be submitted for inclusion:

At least one supplier suggests the Asahipak amino column from Shodex:

All of that said, with a single-source specialty column like this, you are unlikely to find a "plug-and-play" replacement, so you will be faced with at least some level of method development and validation no matter what you do. Unless there is something very specific or special about your samples, the best bet might be to simple start from scratch with one of the many "carbohydrate" HILIC columns on the market.
