Galaxie 1.9.3.2

I've been trying to import data from our Galaxie data system (*.data) onto other platforms such OpenChrom and Unichrom but with no luck. The Unichrom offers the ability to read the *.data files but it hasn't been working. I've also tried converting the files using the converter that comes with Unichrom but without success. I also have access to the Thermo GRAMS suite, which comes with a converter, but it seems unable to convert my files. I realize that this most likely points to my data files being somehow unreadable but I can load them on our Galaxie system no problem. Does anyone have any experience moving their data from the Galaxie data system onto another platform and can advice me?

Any help is appreciated

Hello,

It is possible to import Galaxie data in OpenLAB CDS since a plug-in has been developped to do so.
It is also possible to export Galaxie data as AIA file (gives you *.CDF files), that may be imported in other CDS that supports the format.
And then, EZChrom can import them.
Agilent sells a galaxie to OpenLAB Migration Suite tool that can help exporting data. But you can do it manually, reprocessing all data files, with a method for exporting in AIA format.

Hello "Nwec",

Are you still having difficulties with your Galaxie software? I used to be the Varian UK Galaxie Specialist before Agilent's takeover and would be happy to help. I can be contacted via my website http://www.ciinformatics.co.uk/products/galaxie-cds/.

Kind regards,

Bob Lott

Hello seysteinsson,

Can I ask for what purpose are you trying to load your Galaxie data files into another data system?

Kind regards,
