Can someone explain to me what spectral skewing is? I can only find illustrations online but no text to back it up

thanks

A Google search turned up this:

"Spectral skewing is a result of changing concentrations of analyte in the ion source as the mass spectrum is being acquired. A low concentration of an analyte in the ion source when a low m/z value's ion current is recorded for a given mass spectrum followed by a high concentration when the ion current for a higher m/z value is recorded will result in a skewed mass spectrum showing a higher than expected relative intensity for the high m/z value peak compared to the low m/z value peak."
