linearity test

Hello,
A question:
I'm validating an UV method (sample preparation involves a precipitation reaction) and i notice that this method is not proportional. It is linear in my range and when concentration is 0 (specificity) i have no response; can this method be validated the same?i think it should be possible according to ICH guidelines but what's your opinion?
