Hi,

I just replace new PC but this PC don't have COM port. Do you have any way connect Clarus 500 on new PC?

Either
* Buy a PCI-x card with RS-232 port ~ 7USD
or
* Buy a USB-RS232 cable ~ 5USD
or
* Find a D9 cable suitable for your motherboard. They actually have COM port, but ribbon cable is not shipped with MB ~ 2USD

Hi Antonk,

I bought a USB-RS232 cable, plugged in PC and connected with serial cable but seem like TotalChrom application don't understand this cable. I added port on System Config and added Instrument (fill instrument key, and instrument name, I saw "Acquisition port" and "Modules and LINK port" empty) so still not working. Could you help?

Hi,

USB convert detect is COM4, when I add port on System Configuration it's only accept port 1 or 2. From TotalChrom Nav select Configuration from the Build menu, click on Instrument menu, select port listings and highlight the desired port then click on Query Port For Type it show "Interface not found or unavailable". Please help.

Device manager (right click My computer/ Manage) allows forcing COM port number in serial port properties.
