Hello,
Well Just want to know about the effects of gas ballasting for more than two hours. The system is a zq4000 micromass single quadropole. What are the steps to rectify. The machine seems to work normal for now.It was on gas ballast for more than 24 hours.
Thank you
please help
John in antici  pation

Hi,

Normally, for mechanical pump, the ballast should be just for 20min every 2 week. If run the LC/MS with higher flow rate may need a little
more often but it should be 20 min every week, unless your mechanical
pump loss efficiency for some oher issue. Hopefully it help.
