Looking for some advice on what looks to be a power issue with my detector/LAN module.

I was in the process of purging my system and left it running over lunch. On returning to the system I was unable to stop the flow using Clarity or Agilents Lab Advisor software.

Rebooting software/computer did not resolve the issue so I attempted to power cycle the LC (Agilent 1100). Still unable to connect although the system is no longer pumping following the reboot. When I looked at the system the power light to the G1314A VWD is not on. It flashes for a moment if the power button is pressed but does not remain.

Any suggestions as to what may be causing it not to power up?

Thanks in advance.
Check the cooling fans; the more-modern ones can be engineered to prevent start up of module if the fan doesn't start spinning.
I had few times similar problems on different modules, it was always power supply problem. You can try and quickly push and release power button and see if it helps, but don't tape the power button, as this could also ruin main board (been there done that). Our in hose electrician always managed to fixed the power supply by changing just some small electrical component (think it was capacitors).
