hi everyone,

I have to analyse three encapsuled ingredients, i have an HPLC method but it isn't specific, i try to vary column, conditions (pH, mobile phase, ion pair reagent) but i can't reach an acceptable result becouse the formulation (capsule) has a lot of nutriceutical components.

my idea is to exploit the fact that the ingredients i'm interested in are encapsuled in soia oil. i 'd like to dissolve the powder (from capsules) in water and then to use the unsoluble portion, but can anyone advice me about an apprpriate procedure to make this considering that my analysis is quantitative? i fear that with a common filtration my recovery won't so good...

thank you in advance

Try centrifugation. The soy oil floats.
