I would like to know information , firstly on, how we perform experimental design for a hplc method , its robustness and also on optimization of a HPLC method using chemometric tools like neural network.

For robustness we use design experiment6 (actaully I think it's now DX7)
This gives factorial experiemental design and good data processing of multiple components.
For method design see Tom's list in another post:

An alternative to Design Experiment is R (www.r-project.org) in combination with the AlgDesign package.
Although it's a bit difficult to start, you can do everything you want with the design of experiments. But it's not so graphical and intuitive as desigh experiment.
