Alternative Chromatogramm / Mass spectra Analyzing Software

i am using a Pegasus III MS-ToF - coupled with a comprehensive GC System.

The Software I use to analyze the generated data files is the Chromatof software (provided by Leco). Due to several reasons - I am trying to find an alternative to that.

One reason for example is the low resolution Picture of the chromatogram I get when I try to export the plots. For publications I need a high res PNG/BMP format and cant get it to work. Tried PDF export with silly high DPI Values but the 2D-Chromatogram is still as pixelated as the one generated by simply using the copy plot function - and paste it into Excel/Word/...

I know there are some software solutions that read data from many different manufacturers (e.g. Bruker, Agilent, Waters...) I guess, but I didnt find any thrird party Software that can read and work well with the Leco Data files.

As its comprehensive GC the software needs to be capable of doing a deconvolution step in order to generate the 2D Plot.

I tried a timed Demo of the ACD/Labs Processor - which kept crashing after crunching the data for an hour straight though.

With a help of a person we met here, at Chromforum we developed a file filter for LECO Pegassus III, and hanged another trophy on the wall in our hall:

UniChrom data processing is free. As you import the .peg - you get TIC display. Menu View/Work area/Add/Spectrum-D brings mass-spectra view which updated as you move marker in TIC graph.

In spectra view you can extract specified mass chromatogram [|>] into additional layer and compare it visually as see-through with the TIC.

Obviously you can save as... chromatograms and spectra.

NIST currently unsupported because we are trying to write in cross-platform way but NIST interface is WIndows-only. There is a way of converting libraries in something like JCAMP-ms or MSP, may be this is a near future.
