Dear lectors

I have a question about calibration curves. I want to know where I can find a definition of linear for calibration curves. Or if somebody can help me with a reference of publication where I can find it.

Thank you very much

Yours sincerely

Most people use linear regressions for their linear calibration curves. The coefficient of determination (r²) is a measure of the fit of the data to the line based on the least squares of the variances.

More detailed/correct/boring explanations are found in any stats book and (probably even) in the help files of of the application you have performing the calculations for you.
Thanks,
DR
