Assay method for glibenclamide/metformin [August 20, 2004]

Hi! good day.
i'm currently trying to develop a method for glibenclamide and metformin hcl in a gliben/met tablet. i do have individual method for each of the active but they are not applicable as both of them tend to elute out with the same retention time. i know that both of the molecular structure are quite similar and it is difficult to retain both of the active. Do anyone have any suggestion on the method?

i would like to know the seperation method of metformin and its impurity cyanoguanidine on Partisil SCX column.

Go to corresponding EP monograph, which contains method for the AM impurity.
