Has anyone had experience with Varian liquid chromatography instruments, HPLc or Prep LC?

What is your experience? How do these systems compare with other company's systems?

I have prep./semi-prep. Varians, Agilents and Gisons. Agilent has friendlier software and LS-MS prep. collection is nice too. Varian has a very reliable pumping system and better flexibility. Both systems are good. Gilson semi-prep. is the most flexible system. <...> I recommend you to read "A Field Guide to Instrumentation" Journal of AOAC International, Vol.89, No. 3, 2006. p. 55A-62A with the description of various prep. systems.

Waters?

Thank you for your prompt reply and the reference. Do you have any experience with a Waters system?

I don't. Some of my colleagues in preparative separations in other pharm companies have Waters and I could've given their opinion. But let's wait untill Waters give their input. [please also add page 63A to the above mentioned reference page range, I missed it].
