Recommendations on LIMS

Hello all,

Currently our lab doesn't have a unified data system. We have about 6 HPLCs and 3 GCs running on Perkin Elmer Totalchrom software; 3 HPLCs on Empower v1 software; FTIR on Shimadzu LabSolutions, UV/Vis on Beckman DU800; so on and so forth.

With the big push by the FDA for data integrity, we're thinking a LIMS might add that extra level of security that we may be lacking. Does anyone have a strong recommendation for a certain brand of LIMS software and the strengths behind it?

I'm doing some research, but there's a lot out there and wasn't sure if there was even an industry standard / value brand / etc.

Thanks,

Vince

Hi Vince,

We may be able to help you with our LIMS.

But if not here is an article which we wrote about what to do after validating your CDS (Chromatography Data System).

Hope this helps.

Thanks

If you are seeking data integrity and authenticity for your data FILES a proper solution would be a SDMS like OpenLAB ECM, used already by 100dreds of pharma companies and known to the FDA.
We can capture, securely store, audit trail and protect your files for as long as you want.
As OpenLAB ECM is not linked to any particular vendor we can capture and archive data from any source in your lab.

Same can be said for NuGenesis, now owned by Waters Corp.

In the end, who will do the best job of getting you up and running with the least downtime?
Who will provide the best, fastest, most economically reasonable support?
Who has the best reputation in your particular industry and geographic location?
Who's system will work well with what your organization wants to do to assign sample IDs and manage custody?
Who's system will fit with your existing LAN, instruments, ELN and DB environment?

Just a few things to consider in a world of 21CFR compliant, fully customizable options.
