lost "save as" option in Empower 2, and can't print to file

Hello all, first post here, searched, and couldn't find a related topic. I am using empower 2 for GPC reports. I had been saving the reports as PDF files to a USB drive, however, in the middle of a processing session I lost the ability to "save as" in the previewed report. The save button is there, but when I click it, nothing happens. So I tried printing to PDF, and it gives me the error message- "printer not activated -30" , which is weird because the waters PDF generator is selected in the printer select list, and is "checked" and says "ready". Any thoughts appreciated, I tried rebooting the host computer, no luck. regarding the activation, is there a separate license file that got lost or deactivated for the PDF converter?

You can not activate the Amyuni PDF driver on account of your own means. Through special licensing provided to Waters for the Amyuni driver to work the call to use it must come from within Empower itself (and printing as a PDF does not satisfy this requirement).

However, options suddenly disappearing seems a little odd given that an admin has not changed user privileges. Have you checked project table space?

Double check your message center, there's probably something in there to tell you what's up.

If not, respond w/ more detail about your Empower setup (enterprise, workgroup etc.). Sometimes it comes down to a Citrix server or print spooler needing a kick.
