Hi,

I recently started to use Empower 3 instead of Chemstation. In Component Editor, in Empower, there is a tab called "multiplier". I never encountered that in Chemstation. What exactly is it? and how can I manually calculate it? Does anybody know how (formula) that Empower uses to calculate %Assay using the sample weight in sample set, value (amount that we enter in Component Editor table), LC, and multiplier?

Thanks.
Never use the multiplier.... never ever.

It will multiply your raw data by a value of your choosing; and raw data is inclusive of datapoint collected by your detector.

As for calculating % Assay, Empower uses common linear regression / least squares calculations by default. If you are running a single point, then the software simply forces a zero origin to obtain a best fit line.
