SS or Copper Tubing

I am moving 2 GC systems to another location, one has a MS and FID detector and the second has a FID and PFPD. The 2 systems were configured with mostly copper. I have a lot of SS tubing (treated ofcourse), enough to do both systems. Is there any downfall to using the SS for all of the gas lines??? Thanks Jeni

If you have stainless, go for it. Stainless is considered the "gold standard", but most people use copper because it is significantly less expensive.

I don't suspect any detectable difference in performance of GCs plumbed with SS or copper tubing. However copper as softer material is probably easier to bend and cut.
You may as well use your old copper tubing and add (if necessary) new SS cuts (mixed plumbing).
