Hi,

I am interested in the analytical method to detect menadione in plasma by HPLC (fluorescent detection).

It’s very difficult to work with these analite because there are almost no publications about menadione in human plasma at circulating levels.

I would appreciate so much if you could notice me if there is some method (extraction?) or some publication about how to detect vitamin K3 in human plasma.

Thank you in advanced.

We´ve had succes in using SEP-PAK silica cartidges for initial clean up go Vit-K.

We tried very briefly to creat a HPLC metode but didn't have much succes and we didn't want to continue since we only tried for kicks basically. We used RP with MeOH/Ammonium Carbonate(1%) 95/5 at 1,0 ml isocratic. To detect we tried both UV (270nm) and electrochemical.
But we never achieved anything worth publishing.. We got peaks but lousy seperation.

Best of luck and I'm looking forward to reading about your efforts!
