My run stopped with a message ‘Lost CAN partner’ on a HPLC instrumnet.

CAn someone help me what the issue is due to and any fix for this issue to be resolved
It would be a *lot* easier if you identified the software and instrument involved.

As far I know CAN is used only in Agilent instruments.

Take a vacuum cleaner - in powered-off instrument disconnect every CAN cable and clean away dust from sockets.

If it would not help - problem is in one of modules - try to reconfigure system and bisect - which of the module caused problem. Maybe error log exists in CS jungles (only trained technicians know where) - there have to be exact module name which did not respond.
