Hi,
I have problem connecting the G1315B DAD with chemstation. It says the
detector s not propely configured. The computer is able to detect the
instrument using firmware.
Is there anyone who can help me.
Thanks

What version of Chemstation do you have?
Are the modules connected by GPIB cables or LAN-type cables?
If I remember correctly, if GPIB connections, then the configuration is just needed for the "1200" or "1100" as a system, one GPIB address. Of course, there must also be a remote cable from that new module to the existing stack.
If LAN-type cable connection, then each module would need to have its own individual IP address. In that case you'd need help from someone more computer-knowlegeable than I am. Luckily, that's almost everyone.

Hello
If LAN-type cable connection, then each module would need to have its own individual IP address.
Only one module in LC stack needs LAN card (except Column compartment G1316 which doesn't have LAN card slot), rest of modules are communicating with CAN cables.

Try to check in firmware update tool what firmware you have and use one that is compatibille with other modules (Personally I'd update/reload firmware)
If you have hand controller you can check all configuration parameters for DAD.
If you have connection between DAD and Chemstation (you mentioned error appears on screen) I wouldn't suspect LAN card or any connection issue.

Is the IP address set up correct?
Set the address of your PC to 192.168.254.10 for PC
Set the address of your detector (with your G1369 LAN Card for 192.168.254.11
One of the users is right, Ip address controls detector only, all other are just CAN and can be daisy chained in any configuration.
Also ping 192.168.254.11 and see if you get 4 replies, if so -you are good to go
