LC column for aflatoxins?

Discussions about HPLC, CE, TLC, SFC, and other "liquid phase" separation techniques.

Does anybody have any suggestions for good HPLC columns for aflatoxin separations? A special column, or will any old C18 do? How about mobile phase?

I will be extracting the toxins from corn with acetonitrile/water (84/16), and cleaning the extract using a Mycosep column. They will be derivatized for fluosescence detection post column using an electrochemical cell.

Thanks for your insights!

Most good C18 columns will do this method. I did it with 22.5% MeOH, 22.5% MeCN, 55% H2O. You can see my chromatogram at http://www1.dionex.com/en-us/acclaim_li ... 28431.html

My experience is using Agilent's Hypersil C18, I can not remember the exact diemention, about 2.1x12.5mm, particle size 3um. I use the same extraction method, mobile phase, MycoSep column and derivatize method. Very well seperation.
