Hi,

I was reading some application note from Dionex for cation-exchange chromatography. It was suggested in one of the notes that a 200 mM sodium phosphate monobasic or dibasic was stored frozen until use. Is there any particular reason to store the buffers frozen?

Just a guess, but I would assume to minimize the growing of bugs. We've seen phosphate buffer become a biology experiment when stored too long. As to why frozen versus refrigerated, hmm?
