Does anyone know if I can replace the chemical trap (05890-61260) filling by re-filling it with activated carbon. Any specific particle size/quality?

I have not yet removed it, but just wanted to ask before I started dismounting it.

I have 2 to replace, one on a GC-FID and another on a GC-MS

I *think* these are packed with a molecular sieve. Supposedly they may be regenerated by running inert gas through them at a high temperature.

This may be a "false economy" as I recall the traps are not all that costly.
