Injector program validation

Hi all,

To cut a long story short I've had issues with sample stability. After trying many avenues I find the only way to get around these issues is to mix the sample pre-injection using an injector program (I'm using an 1100).

Having never validated a method with an injector program I'm wondering if I need to do anything over an above a typical validation for an LC method.

My initial feeling is that if it passes the usual validation then by definition it means the injector program is validated along with it.

Any guidance greatly appreciated,

Serp

I would be inclined to have it mix portions of 0.3% acetone w/ water (from 0-100% of the Acetone solution) and see if the intermediate peak responses are the appropriate proportions of the 100% acetone solution response.

Fixed injection volume throughout, very short run time... you could do it w/o a column running water at a fixed flow rate. It would be pretty much like checking pump mixing.
