Hello all,

Does anyone know if UV-spectrum libraries exist as do mass-spectra ones? (free or not)

Thank you in advance

Not that I know of. They probably would not be very useful in any case, because UV spectra in solution are information-poor (not much detail), and because spectra can and do shift depending on the chemical environment (pH, organic solvent, etc.).

Please check this page:
http://jpdb.nihs.go.jp/jp14e/ultraviolet_spectra.html

It has more than 300 UV/Vis scans, and currently free (*.pdf format). It is useful for method development (save some time).

There is also some material at
http://webbook.nist.gov/chemistry/bh-ser.html

Doesn´t Sadtler (Bio-Rad) also have IR and UV besides MS?
