Is anyone aware of the cause of this problem? Initially we noticed the tops of vials being slightly wet, but now the entire sample chamber is wet with mobile phase.

Thanks!

mobile phase? Are you sure that it's mobile phase?
It could be condense when cooling the chamber. After a while there is some ice forming, and then you can have much condense.

If it's mobile phase it could be that there is a tubing disconnected inside the HPLC. You can easily see when screwing off the right side of the Alliance.

good luck

Not entirely sure it's mobile phase. It could be condensation, but I would expect it on our other machines which are identical.

It could be a mobil phase or a needle wash solution. If your eluent contains buffer check the pH.
Prime the system and run purge with compressibility check . If the test is pass the needle seal is leaked, if not the injector seals are leaked. The needle wash seal can change easily. The injector seal can be changed by service engineer.
