Hi to everyone, I'm Massimo and I'm new to the forum.

I'm actually working in Italy (i'm italian, sorry for my english) in an environmental analysis lab.

In the lab we are working with a Gas Gromatograph Agilent, connetcet to a Teledyne Tekmar ATOMX for P&T analysis.

My problem is: When i run an analysis i have this weird column signal, and i find it in every sample, blank, or just water.
We have this signal until minute 5 and then it runs normally.

Any suggestions or advice?

Hello

As you have GC coupled with Atomx sampler your problem has 2 possible sources: GC and/or Atomx. To narrow problem down I would disconnect GC from Atomx and check if your problem is not linked to GC column. But you probably have transferline combined with GC inlet so it will be tricky.
However you can check Atomx - make sure that your analytical trap is baked out (or put new one, it could be saturated and the only way is to replace it).

Try to run method with no injection from Atomx (just GC method) - at least it will show you if GC column needs baking out.
