The solenoid proportioning valves on Thermo Accela and Surveryor pumps are terrible and fail often. Does anyone know who makes these valves and if there is a reliable replacement? It is the simplest part to produce (an electromagnet) and should work for decades.
I have seen these fail on a semi-regular basis... but not every often and not repeatedly on same system.. If the same pump keeps burning off Solenoid Valves it could be the main board that is doing something that burn them...

Make sure you get the latest firmware installed and/or have the main board replaced..
Kind regards

Thank-you Leadazide. We have seen this on multiple instruments. Even the Thermo engineer commented on poor design and failure rate. In addition, each valve is $1300 to replace. Someone must have a more reliable and less expensive replacement.
