I am currnetly looking for a label printer to label volumetric glassware. Ideally the labels need to be aproximately 3 x 5cm and need to include prep date, project, expiry date, sample ref, initials and storage condition. The ink must be water proof and to a certain extend solvent proof, but they must be fairly easy to soak off.
Serial printing is a must, e.g. prints numbers 1 to 24 with one operation. Has anyone got any models that work well or any that should be avoided?
Thanks
Chris

I took A4 sheets from Computer Imprintable Labels Ltd and used the label tool in MS Word and a laser printer. CILS labels are expensive but they hold laser printing very well and are removable even after heating and autoclaving.
You can also do serial printing with the labeling tool of Word.
