Hi all

I am new to the IC game and have inherited a dionex dx 120 using chromeleon software..

I am runing a method for quantitation of anions. I have it set up to run 3 std.s but the method seems to ignore the standard amount I have entered in the amount column.....I'm sure its a simple thing!!

Any ideas??

Take it easy.....

Nothing springs to mind, but here's some things to check:

In the Sequence:
Are your standards set to Sample Type 'Standard'

In the Quantifcation Method:
General Page: Is the calibration mode appropriate ? If you're standards are in a block try 'Total'
Is the Auto Calibrate option checked (should be)
Amounts Page: Have you set up the amount columns linked to yuor standards ?

To check, go to a sample injection and open the Calibration page of the method. This should tell you which standards are being applied to this sample, and give you all the weights, amounts etc and a comment if there is a problem.

Hope this helps. If not, post back with some more details of your method etc..

Hi Paul

Thanks for your reply...

From what I can see I have set everything up correctly....

However I was messing around last week and used 1 standard (20 ppm) which worked as expected.
Do I need to put a command in the sequence to get it to start a new calibration?

Cheers!!

No, one fo the great things about Chromeleon is that it continuosuly updates everything, so what you see is what you get...

When looking at one of your samples, what does the Calibration tab display ? (how many rows, any comments etc)

My best recomendation is to ring your local Dionex support line, they've always been excellent with us in the past and helped with both very complicated, and seemingly simple problems...
