I've been modifying GCMS Chemstation macros for years and now I have a need to jump into modifying GC Chemstation (and LC Chemstation) macros.

I will be working with Version/Revision A.10x to B.4x Software.

Can anyone give me a primer on the the .mac (macros) versus the .mcx (macros), please ? Thank you.
The .mcx files are 'locked' versions of a .mac file. You can not open or read them. So if you write a macro which will be in the .mac format and wish to prevent other people changing it, you can convert it to a .mcx file.
