We have this device (brand-named Zymark Twister robot) in our setup. After working for years it has been failed to initialize during power on. Trouble examination revealed following: firmware (at leaft important part of it) is stored in battery-powered RAM chip instead of flash ROM. The battery was finally failed, so firmware is lost. The last hope to make this good hardware working is to try to update firmware via described procedure. There should exist firmware update utility (tloadwin.exe), but Agilent has been shipped this robot without any software discs. Support of this device is also discontinued.

Thank you for reading. Any thoughts?
