Please Explain Chem Station Noise Threshold Value

Hi,

I've heard that the Noise Threshold value reported on the Agilent Chem Station Data Analysis Peak Purity window can be used for calculating a method detection limit. I can't find how the Noise Threshold is derived so I'm not sure how I should use it. Can anyone explain this to me?

Give Agilent folks in technical support department a call. I think they might be able to answer your question.
