We are experiencing problems of double and triple peaks for some amino acids which are the 2TMS, 3TMS and 4TMS products when analyzed by GC-TOF. The derivatization procedure is methoxymation followed by silyation with MSTFA both steps are carried out at 40C for min.
For example, for serine, we see the 2TMS and 3TMS. We only want the 3TMS serine. Does anyone have ideas on what we can do to eliminate this problem?
Thank you kindly for your help.
