His-tag protein analysis

Hi,
I'm trying to find lc analysis for recombinant protein with and without his-tag. I'm using C8 column, with gradien eluation using 0.1% tfa/water and 0.1% tfa/acetonitrile. Using this method i can get good peak for protein without his-tag. But i can't find any single peak for protein with his-tag. Is it true that protein with his-tag will have longer retention time using this method? I'm already using bigger acetonitrile concentration up to 80% but had no result.
What should I do?
