My lab intends to buy a Triple quadrupole (MS/MS) system but, due to the limited budget, we inted to use our "old" LC Agilent 1200.
The XEVO TQD from Waters abd LC Agilent 1200 are compatible?
Does anyone have this experience?
Thank you in advance for your attention.

Hey Paulo,
My advice on Waters equipment is that their technical support is extremely poor. My company sells pre-owned refurbished instrumentation and could help you in your decision taking your budget into consideration. I would advise on a Sciex triple quad such as a 3000 or 4000. We are talking about $50K for a 3000 and $100K for a 4000. These would definitely couple with your Agilent 1200 and going pre-owned will save you tremendously. We could even discuss leasing or financing options to spread your payments out over time.

Talk to the manufacturers. They will know what front end LC systems are compatible with their software, much better than any of us in a forum.
Get it in writing, then you're definitely safe!
Even on a limited budget, good manufacturers are happy to help, and can probably arrange trial samples and a chance to see the instrument before you purchase.
