Problem with Serial Determination With MagIC Net

We are currently using an 883 Basic IC Plus coupled with a 863 Compact Autosampler for the analysis of anions on natural waters. The system is managed trough the MagicIC Net 2.2 to perform the analysis. We had a problem when performing determination series in the equipment. The equipment proceed with the analysis of no more than one or two samples in a row before we get the error message “036-509 Step Failed : The injector valve ‘injector’ could not be stepped into the other position”. The time program we used has the same instructions that those provided in the MagIC Net user manual (although these are indicated for single determination). We were wondering if this is a hardware, software or programming issue. We would be glad to receive some help to solve the problem.

First of all, please update to the actual MagIC Net 3.1, which is the actual version.
MagIC Net 2.2 is pretty old and should no longer be used.

In addition to the above mentioned software update:
Maybe setting the "inject" command and the "start data acquisition" command to 2.6 min might help as well.

Dear Markus
Thanks a lot for your great advice!. We have updated the software but now we received a message "009-120 Old device program : The device 863 autosampler has an old program which is not supported by MagIC Net". I see this is a problem with the firmare, isn´t it? Where could I get the files to update the firmare of this and may be also of the 883 IC basic plus?

Dear Luis
The firmware is usually updated automatically with the MagIC Net update.
Please disconnect the instruments for the PC, re-install MagIC Net 3.1 (select function: repair). Re-connect the instruments, start MagIC Net and turn on the instruments.
If the problem persists, please call your Metrohm Service person.
